Happy 10th Anniversary, Jamin!

In honor of our 10th Anniversary, 10 reasons why I love my husband:

1.     He loves beauty and creativity—in people, nature, art, music, design, etc.

2.     He is a hard worker—he has built me two kitchens, never mind all of the other labor-intensive house projects he has completed in our two homes.

3.     He is a great friend; he loves people; he loves to laugh and to make people laugh.

4.     He makes up silly new lyrics to existing songs to fit what’s happening at that moment.

5.     He is a big, tall, strapping man; when I’m around him, I feel petite(!) and safe and protected.  Adding to his man power—he has a motorcycle and three (soon to be four) tattoos.  And he smells good.

6.     He loves my family.  His loves his family.  He shows such respect and care for our parents.

7.     He loveslovesloves our daughters, and is so gentle and patient with Lily.   He takes her on “adventures,” and truly listens to her—which is very important for a three-year-old who is adjusting to a new baby in the house.

8.     He loves Christ and is excited to serve in our church.  He has an ever-growing love for God’s Word, and a desire to be kingdom-minded.

9.     He lives in the moment; he is thankful for what he is given; he is not wistful, regretful, or discontented.  He easily finds joy in each day.

10. He loves me, encourages me, gives generously to me. He makes me feel just like I did when we first fell in love.  He makes me feel excited for the years ahead.

I love you, honey!

Our dear friend, Liz, lettered our vows for our 5th anniversary.  I see them everyday and they are a good reminder of the promises Jamin and I made to one  another.

Jamin's sister, Janna, gave us this beautiful bouquet for our anniversary.  It's made of white freesia and  roses, and blue thistles.

Congratulations to you both! What a beautiful entry about a such a lovely (and good lookin') couple.

My mom was just visiting and in a conversation about all my dearest college friends, she said how she so vividly remembered the day we left for England and how attentive Jamin was to you, Angie. How wonderful to see your love grow all these years!
Love you guys!
